Associate Professor Dr Dominique Falla is the Deputy Director of Learning and Teaching at the Queensland College of Art (QCA), Griffith University. Dominique’s current teaching and research focus is Creative Entrepreneurship, and her most recent curation project is TYPISM, a unique type and lettering conference, book, and online community for creative entrepreneurs.
As Deputy Director of Learning and Teaching, Dominique oversaw and managed program development, implementation and curriculum reviews spanning program- and course-level change across Design, Interactive Media and Fine Art, including Photography (photo-media) and Industrial Design. She was responsible for developing the overarching design of the new degree structure currently in use by the Bachelor of Design, Industrial Design, and Visual Arts.
Dominique completed her Bachelor of Design at Swinburne University in Melbourne and her Master of Design at Monash University in Melbourne. She has completed a Doctorate of Visual Arts (DVA) at Griffith University. Her doctoral research investigated Tactile Typography and established her as a creative practitioner of international standing.
